The Cold Climate Heat Pump Technology Challenge aims to reduce carbon pollution from cold climate heating and increase efficiency to save consumers money. The U.S. Department of Energy is working towards advancing cold-climate clean heat pumps to reach the Biden administrations goal of net-zero carbon by 2050. Heat pumps significantly reduce carbon pollution, while lowering energy costs and comfortably heating (and cooling!) homes.
